TCA is a public agency responsible for planning, financing, constructing and operating California’s largest network of toll roads. Our 51 miles of roadway include State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261, which are public roads owned by Caltrans and financed with private funds. The Toll Roads were built with virtually no tax dollars.

Our one staff reports to two Boards of Directors comprised of elected official from 18 member cities and three members of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.   • Administrative Assistant/Coordinator

    The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), operator of California’s largest toll road network, is seeking an administrative assistant/coordinator to provide high-level administrative, coordination and organization support to the two departments responsible for strategic planning, government affairs, communications and marketing functions.

    Advanced calendar management and scheduling skills, proven experience concurrently organizing multiple activities and relevant and increasing responsibility in a coordinating role reporting to senior level management is required.

    Among the duties of this position are to coordinate meetings, workshops, analysis sessions, and other engagements for Board Member and ad hoc committee meetings, department executive managers and managers; coordinate and manage the departments’ vendors including tracking inventories, budgets and orders; support processes for Board Meeting staff reports and report review including proof reading and formatting documents per set standards, and tracking deadlines; conduct research and compile information to support the Agencies’ legislative platform; manage multiple data bases and lists; take minutes, compile action score card documents to track progress, draft correspondence and compile reports for executive management review; support community relations and outreach events, manage database and records for community outreach events and coordination of outreach materials which may include setting up and signing-in guests for events, answering questions from the public, and working a limited number of evenings and Saturdays each year; additional administrative, coordination and project support as needed in the organization.

    The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and strong proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Adobe Acrobat.  A college degree is desirable.  Approximately five years of increasingly responsible coordination and planning experience is required.

  • Corridor Manager

    The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA), operator of California’s largest toll road network, is looking for an experienced Corridor Manager.

    GENERAL: Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position will direct and manage planning, design and construction engineering for assigned projects as part of a $1.6 billion capital improvement plan program. The successful candidate will oversee design and construction work efforts of various consultants and contractors; monitor and control the work product, schedules and costs to ensure that tasks are completed properly, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of civil engineering, engineering mathematics and economic analysis, principles and practices of project management, and have proven management and supervisory skills and exceptional communication skills.


    A bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and ten years of professional and administrative experience managing and directing technical engineering work related to highway, bridge, or other infrastructure design and construction. Also required is a professional engineer’s license or ability to obtain within one year’s time by reciprocity and/or supplemental testing, and possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid class C California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.


    The ideal candidate will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Effectively manage and provide day-to-day guidance in planning, design and construction operations of assigned corridor projects in coordination with the TCA staff, counsel, consulting firms, contractors and other public agencies.
    • Review and/or manage reviews of highway related designs to ensure compliance with TCA’s criteria and city, county, state and federal design standards.
    • Prepare and/or review cost and schedule estimates for corridor capital improvement projects, and recommend appropriate action on consultant proposals, task orders and oversee evaluation and selection processes.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: We offer a challenging and dynamic work atmosphere along with a competitive compensation and benefit package.  Salary range: $115,968 - $162,355.
